Error - Mean Shift Segmentation creates polygons in holes of image

Dear all,

I am a user of OTB toolbox and I want to use it specifically for OBIA classification.
I performed mean shift segmentation in a small - cropped part of a large multispectral image that contains holes. I would expect that no polygons will be created for that parts of my image. However, I noticed that polygons do exist in some of that regions and I need to manually delete them.

Do you know how could I overcome this problem?

Also, I cropped my original image into other subimages based on a vector file, because I want to apply segmentation with different parameters, and then to combine the vector files. But I see small overlaps between the neighbouring polygons. Do you have any idea how to deal with this problem?

Any help-suggestion will be really useful !!!

Thanks a lot,

Vasilis
