Second release candidate of S1Tiling 1.2

CNES and CS Group FRANCE are glad to announce the second release candidate for S1Tiling 1.2.

Version 1.2 integrates the following main improvements:

  • it can produce, and apply, gamma area maps for radiometric terrain correction as described in David Small’s 2011 paper “Flattening Gamma: Radiometric Terrain Correction for SAR Imagery”,

  • it can produce Incidence Angle Maps to the ellipsoid,

  • it has improved the quality and the processing performances of LIA/NORMLIM calibration, and use precise orbit EOF files,

  • Sentinel-1C is now supported even in Ellipsoid IA and LIA scenarios,

  • Downloading works transparently with all Sentinel-1 data providers supported by EODAG.

You can use it through a docker ready to run. CNES users will just need to load module s1tiling/1.2.0rc2-otb9.1.1 on TREX.
Finally, for those who wish to install it manually on top of their OTB installation, some helper scripts are provided as well.
