I’m new to OTB and i need some help in segmentation. When I use the meanshift algorithm, I get results I cannot understand. I want to separate objects (small plants) that clearly differ from the background. Which paths do I have to go to get clean edges? How do I have to prepare my 5-band orthophoto (e.g. smoothing, dealing with no data values, etc.)?
In order to better help you with your problem, it would be great if you can post your command-line code used to perform the steps during the segmentation (and before/after). Also we need to better understand what you do not understand as well as some of the background. What size do the plants have, what pixel size does the image have etc.
Only then we can come up (hopefully) with a suitable answer.
